A news bulletin populates the screen
A drink sits on the lonely table in the room
Another tragedy plays
A building collapsed
A mine shuts its mouth on the intruding miners
A train decides to leave the tracks
And wonder the countryside
In search of a new life.
Five dead
A hundred dead
Causality unknown
He wonders, when will be his time?
He sips his drink silently
The TV is silent
But the rolling bar displays the news
Like memories rolling in his head
He sips his drink silently
And ponders his next move.
Another rescue effort takes place
Some dead
Some alive
Some unconscious
And some dies on the way.
In a grief stricken world
A noise makes hope
Like magic
All the hands
All the eyes
All the heart beats dig
Into the space that is framing the sound signal
A noise becomes life
Another child is born
From a womb.
A new life is detected
The search intensifies
The time becomes precious
The space becomes whole existence
What is about the noise
That drives us so crazy?
Perhaps the fear of the noise of silence?
He finishes his drink
And leaves the empty glass on
The empty table.
He can’t stand this silent noise any longer
He opens the window taking in
The wind and
The screams of life
The car horns
The people talk
He joins them stepping out of the window
Sirens fill the air.
A new life is detected.
