He who seeks power
Stands at the gates of hell
He will soon realise
Power is temporary like the gods.

Today may own the temple
Tomorrow the temple is a museum
Today may be praised by scriptures
Tomorrow they are mocked scrolls of
Comics
Tragedy
History
Memory
Or disowned
Denounced
Disputed
Mythology.

He who seeks power
Soon to realise hell is time
He comes, he goes
Like the gods in the ruins.
