Missing you

I miss your touch
I miss your smile
I miss loving you
And our fights
I miss your closeness
Almost as much as
I hate
The distance between us
When you are in the other room,
I miss the sound of your phone
Your tapping on the screen
The peeping of incoming messages
The strange music
I don’t recognise,
I miss your voice
As much as your smell
When you are near;
I miss you
And missing you is
The saddest thing
In the beautiful world
Of happiness
You created
For me
By being,
By stepping into
My life
You became
The life
I dream.
