New Word Fake

A thousand banners fill the street
An announcer hails the new era
The party is strong
The attendance is huge
The feelings are positive
But … pauses the news carrier to catch her breath
The news are fake!

A thousand words fill the wall
For graffiti is on the rise
The words are honest
The message is clear
And direct to the point
But … pauses the analyst of the latest art craze
The content is fake!

A thousand stars fill the sky
An astronomer count them carefully
The record is maintained well
The science is valid
The method is honest
But … pauses an astrologer new to the scene
The account is fake.

But … pauses a thought suspended in
A mental wonderment in
A wandering state
An existence that could be fake
The paused thought shouts gently
Not fake!
There is only fake people.
