Temple … Meditating Peach

I have been to the temple today
My mum is pleased, but
Which temple? She asks
It has been the temple of
A Thousand Gods, then
The One God
Then the three Gods
Then
No God!
No God resides there
But I have been to the temple
And my mum is pleased.

I have been to the temple today
New teachings spread through
The old walls
A beautiful sound of new singing
Or is it screaming
A woman was crying in a corner
I was given a peach
I was told to meditate on all gifts
For God is giving
I thought to give the peach to my mum
But I have to meditate on it first
I got hungry so I ate the peach
I was thankful to No God
For God is giving
I have been to the temple today
Peach meditating and my mother is happy
The teacher of giving wasn’t!

I have been to a building today
That once was
A temple … of a Thousand Gods
Then of the One God
Then of the Three Gods
Then came the powerful almighty
The No God
Then they ran out of peaches
And teachers deserted the grounds
Now
A cemetery filled with the soulless dead
I have been to the temple today
My mum is pleased, but
Which temple? She asks
I eat a peach and
Meditate on empty stomach
A naked woman craving!
