A ballad of a lonely raindrop!

This poem is an experimentation with Haiku and Tanka forms. It is also a reflection on the year of the pandemic as the year draws closer to its end. A storm passed? Let’s hope.

Lonely raindrop left

An angry storm passed through

One rose stood firm

Storm passed through emptiness

A raindrop kissed

The rose’s cheeks, sun shines

A new beginning

Write your story in the empty

Space there is reality

What remains – you!
